We all find some posts boring. If you find a certain members threads that bad why bother with them at all.
agreed richie.
whats started all this off then?. :-?
I think Nickbat just realised how bad his cabinet making really is.
Nickbat will know what i mean, As for anyone else my statement has probably just gained interest even just out of curiosity.  [smiley=cheesy.gif]

Just poured six gallons of colorfill down the loo! Shame, really, you could have had it at very reasonable price if you'd been nicer to me!  ;) ;D ;D

There, that'll get 'em wondering!!  ;) ;) :D :D ;D

Bit late for the heavy in depth synopsis but, here goes....

OOF is, in some respects, a victim of its own success.

What started out as a wee forum for the free exchange of hints and tips to keep and maintain the marque to a few members who could afford what were at the time, relatively expensive cars has now become:-

A hotbed of political intrigue debated over by those who care/care not a jot and - apparently - never the twain shall meet.

A place for the free exchange of information (and work/graft) to keep the marque on the road.

A place for spammers and hangers on to hook into so that their own little corner of the world wide web gets a leg up. (check out member numbers versus activeposters....)

A refuge for some to escape the rat race of day to day life, despite where one opinion maker tries so, so, much to ensure his opinion is top of the dung heap and to blazes with anyone else.  Just like the world the poor sod is trying to escape from.

A place to have a light hearted look at the world and all its ills, trying desperately to see a wee shade of good in all things apparently bad.....

C'mon folks.  Lets not loose the plot and loose friendships, online or real time.

Lifes too short.  Ask some on here who know.....   ;)

C'mon folks. We ARE adults here are we not?
Lets play nicely.....   :y

Debatable..... ;D ;D

Nick....Some of your post are articulate and informed :y. Some seem a little angry. :-/ :-/
However, I don't really see the purpose of this particular post, or any post where people threaten to leave.

I'm off to bed now, I'm far too tired for a leg-over tonight. :y :y :y

This part of the forum is for general chat (clue in the title ?) for non car related discussion. ::)
I have known Nick to venture out of chat quite a few times, but I dont think he is particularily mechanically knowledgeable, so it has been mainly to request advice for problems, which is the main reason the whole forum was set up in the first place. ;)
So irritate with dross posts, then ask the same audience "please fix my car" ? Which of course we would. It's what the forum was set up for in the first place!  ;)

When in a hole, stop digging.

If you think my posts are dross, then don't read them.  >:(

I stopped reading them a long time ago.  I'm with Chris on this one, it all gets very 'broken record'

I have strong views on a few subjects which I have posted about on here occasionally, esp when I wish to have a rant about some truck driver that just tried to kill me.   I do not feel the need to keep going on about it, certainly not on a car forum.  Nobody wants you to stop posting or go away, but how about joining in the banter or talking about fixing cars more than the types of threads you normally post.  :y

Do I think Nickbat is boring?
No. i have actually met him and he is a real nice guy who also made me laugh.
Do I read all of his posts?
No. Alot are beyond me which I then rightly or wrongly lose interest.

This is General Chat which is for anything that goes under that umbrella.

None of us are the same, else you would all be like me  ;D

Now behave or else you will each get 25 lines saying "I must play nicely whilst in the playground"    :P ;D
