Decided to buy a shopping list of parts to invest in my beloved miggy as a present for passing it's MOT straight off.

Bought the 20 litres of 10/40 GM semi oil, paying for 15 litres, for £32.67 ex vat at trade instead of £77.70 for the 15, or 103.60 for the 20 litres

Then purchased a set of front brake pads, and after chatting to my Vx parts friend, agreed to get new discs all in the one box, part no. 093175466,  £103.00 ex-vat, £75.74 with TC discount!

Then got a passenger door central locking motor, £58.00 ex vat, down to £52.61 with TC

Brake fluid 1ltr £6.15 down to £3.53

Brake sensors (x2) £19.70 down to £14.88

Oil filter £4.46 down to £2.87

But then I had a disappointment,  the headlight sensor unit (the one over the nearside front suspension arm) has changed its specifications / part no. / price; was £57.00 down to £51.70 with TC, has increased to £122.00!  But with TC this became £110.65!  over DOUBLE the original price!

Still the Omega is worth it, the old sensor unit is beyond repair, and I usually buy all such parts as new on principle.  Cannot win them all I suppose!

Overall though a great ABS TC result again, with the £20 I renewed my subscription with earlier this month well and truly recouped already!
