Price of LPG
« on: 13 August 2009, 17:51:20 »

Just come up from the South coast to Pudsey near Leeds for Grandson's christening. At home LPG is 53.9p litre at nearest BP station. At ASDA's at Pudsey just filled up with LPG at 46.9p litre.
How the heck can a 7p difference be justified?

46 p at the local calor center or 48.9 at the local Shell..... 53.9 is a bit steep!

My local stations are 53.9 (2 shell's and a BP), but if I go into Ipswich (about 13 miles) I can get it for 48.9 :o :o

I'm not worried about it TBH as I've already recovered the cost so anything now is profit :y :y

local shell is 53.9p, but slightly further out the bp is a bit cheaper usually although not been there for a while as its not 24 hour. Iirc it went up 3p in the last budget, does that account for whats seems a high, more common price of 53.9?

I guess the north south divide and Asda price policy could account for 7p differance?

In Boston, Lincs, we normally get amongst the lowest prices in the UK for Fuel but my local Shell is 51.9 for LPG. Even the Diesel quietly crept up to 101.9 over the past week!!!

I stopped looking at the price of fuel ages ago if buying in or around the same area as the cars not going anywhere without it so not a thing you can do about it so why get hot under the collar about it :).

53.9 at the twin Shell Garages on the A12 at Woodbridge, and the BP at Martlesham. Paid 48.9 at the Shell in Ipswich and Morrisons is normally the same price :y :y

43p by me, 42p at carvers in Wolves, my Rolls Royce runs on it, works out more economical than my tractor. :)
