Cheers re: WIM, but tracking is out by 6mm+ so new tyres will be shredded by the time I get that far.

Booked into a very helpful and knowledgable sounding 4 wheel laser accident/tyre alignment place locally for in the morning-only charges per corner for adjustment and sounded like he knows his stuff.

What gets me is that knowing what I know now, I could have bought a late mint 3.2 elite with LPG with less miles for the same outlay... :(

That may be true but think of the sense of achievement when its all done, be too skint to tell your mates in the pub about it but a feeling of success none the less  :y

Hi Geoff,

Greetings from Wroclaw. I can't do my training course as good old LOT lost all our baggage .. ARGHHHHHHH So waiting for it to turn up, together with my clothes, washbag etc. So, yes, that pong is probably me.  ::)

On the Omega front, I've returned to them after a 7 year absence and wanting a project car after being made redundant, so, mine is really a plaything TBH.

In saying that, I had 6 Omegas from new as company cars and they were ALL unreliable during my "ownership". A non-stop stream of little niggles which were all done under warranty I must say. So, this one is only the 2nd one that I've actually owned (well 3 if you count the one I bought for bits and then scrapped).

So, why did I have more again and buy one now. Well, I actually really like them I suppose is the real reason, although would I be as accepting if it had hit me so hard in the pocket - maybe not, its hard to say unless you are there.

WIM sorted me out, but found a number of iffy suspension bits turning the £60 "pop in" visit into a £270 all day one.  :-/

Hope this helps, & yes, I will be drinking Vodka tonight - despite being a pongo.

Cheers ........... Rob

Thanks for the post, Rob and enjoy Wroclaw and the Vodka.  As per pm, try Charlotka (drink) and if you find a "Chlopskie Jadlo" (peasant food) restaurant, try smalec (dripping) with iced Siwucha vodka, barszcz (beetroot soup) or zurek (sour soup) with Okocim beer, Zrazy (beef rolled with filling) and salatka z burakow (beet salad).   Great stuff-but I am used to the different tastes!!

I do hope that the Omega starts to repay the investment soon...I suppose I have done 7,000 miles in 3 months, including a faultless arctic condition trip to Poland.....

We're taking it back to Lodz in June   ;)

Its a great thing hindsight.

My case arrived & was waiting for me when I got (crawled) back to the room earlier. My head really hurts - but I suspect the customer's does too!  ;D We had  great meal, all I have to do now is give the training & fly home tonight  ::)

But probably still had to spend a fair bit out to get it perfect ;) ;)

I did get the 4 wheel laser tracking and camber done today after driving through heavy snow from Leominster to Presteigne Tyres-had to get it done asap as new wishbones done both sides and tyres new last week.

Front tracking was out by 6mm and OSF was camber out by about 5mm to my eye, but measured in minutes-he did show me on the machine.

All other wheels well within tolerance levels so left alone, road test done, tracking re-checked and all ok.  I have never had a car with rear wheel tracking adjustment-had a good look underneath while it was up on ramp (its favourite place  ;D)

Friendly and helpful and only £54inc vat which is better than the £85/95+vat I was expecting.
Noticable difference too  :y

Another invoice for the history file, which is now 2" thick....

If the customer is Polish, they'll be used to vodka... ;D

What was the meal?

Any jobs going  :y
