Has anyone had any good/bad comments on "firstline"wishbones,as I need to cure the knocking from the front end and after replacing droplinks noise is still present so suspect wishbones now..its just they seem to be about the best price I have found .

avoid first line full stop! except posslbly their filters, wheel barings drop links wishbones for omega and similar for BMW e39 including discs have ALL failed within 3 to 6months.

Also avoid wishbones from buy parts buy, there have been numerous failures reported on here.

So without spending a 3rd world debt(going to VX ) where would be the best place to buy from and what make would be the favoured choice ?

I would be checking for xs play first before changing them.

You sure there is not a bit of broken spring in one of the spring dishes?

Lemforder seems to get good reviews off people on here about 120 for a pair IIRC some decent motor factors will have them but you may have to order them  :y

lemforder are the original supplier to gm

there are numerous cheapo makes, some seem happy with them, but there are alot of failures, nobody seems to be able to specify a reliable manufacturer other than lemforder. Follow the correct torqueing procedure with with car on the ground wheels loaded.

Tried to buy lemfoder last week but could only find one in stock (£55+ at Autovaux) with a 2 week wait for the second.   :o

Settled for delphi at £44+ instead, together with droplinks and rod ends.

Geometry tomorrow at Fleet Fit.
