Josh I've got some pics of the gold CD I broke last year (obviously before I broke it :P ) :y

Thanks Lee, I'll add them if you don't mind. You could add some pics of it being broken, with the added 'air con' i.e. no doors  :D

Now added to the test section, as soon as I've got some photo's of a CD and GLS I think it'll be ready to be moved.

The 2.2 4 cylinder petrol has a displacement of 2198cc and produces 144 bhp. The manual 2.2 saloon accelerates to 60mph in 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 130mph, with a combined mpg figure of 29.4

Lies.
I had 135 once  :P on the sat nav not the dials. Also 29.4mpg is a tad optimistic. I get about 25 combined  >:(

Think theres something up with mine. Its always been like it though. Even after a full service, and new rocker cover gaskets (due to oil in the wells). Still only does 25mpg. Even less if im just driving around town, ~22ish :/

before i switched to my motorway commute i had a 15 mile commute, of mixed roads / town, still managed to get 30mpg. Keeping the revs below 4k when pulling away...

Make sure that thin breather pipe to the throttle body is clear, and the throttle body itself.

Further info you could add.
Not sure about dates exactly, but the TD (6 cylinder BMW unit) in manual or auto form was carried over onto the Facelift until the 2.2 DTi was introduced around 2001.
I have pics of both CD saloon or estate if it helps :y
