Vauxhall Vectra Fault Codes
« on: 05 February 2010, 20:52:36 »

Does anyone know if the EML fault codes on a 99 Vectra  can be read like the Omega????

If it is, is it just a case of using a paperclip like the omega??

depends on the vectra iirc, can you be more specific?

ie, does on a 1.8, does not on a 2.2

Arranged a trade now. He's coming up after work tomorrow to check my drivers side front suspension due to a loud clunking noise when going over speed bumps and potholes. Cant be the drop links as did them in december and its been there since before that. Going to let him check mine over prior to getting my tool kit to look at his  ::)

Hi there, I was wondering how you got on with your clunking problem? I have what seems to be the same or similiar problem (intermittent loud clunking noise front drivers side usually happens over bumps, driving over dropped kerb onto driveway etc) and just took my vectra to Vauxhall (thought the wheel was about to drop off the noise was that bad) and was told its the spring in the shock absorber trying to twist and all it needs is lubricating. I have an extended warranty on the car but they said as it hadn't failed (ie it wasn't leaking and the spring hadn't broken) it wouldn't be covered.
