on 1000 mile changes at the moment  :y

once the engines cleaned out, every 3000 ish  miles or when the oil on the dipstick starts to change colour  :y

Can't use that "rule" any more ... it comes out the same colour it went in running on LPG ...  :)  but I still do one every 5000  :)
Thats gonna mess up my 'the car needs a quick service' reminders!

Same here, memory like a fish, oil is way i tell  :-/
Write mileage on oil filter on yours ;)

Good idea, but filter can get dirty  :-/

Might get a white board for garage to keep track of all 3 + bike

I normally record every parts change and oil on a notepad ..and in excel ;D

On my beloved Cavalier, every 4 months... Car does about 10k a year.

On the Omega.  Had it a few months, check the dipstick every couple of weeks..... haven't changed the oil yet  ;D

Weather is getting better, so might consider it next week.  I just cant fall in love with this car like I did the Cav.

I do a lot of motorway miles, about 600 a week min, so I change it every other month now, expensive, but I think needed for a high mileage V6 (148k).

Anybody think its overkill?

Good,....I hoped you'd say that, my missus thinks I'm mad doing it every 8 wks........just found a cheap source of oil though, so not too bad as filters are cheap.

Costco tend to sell Chevron and Castrol iirc?  I'd rather use GM (Fuchs) to be honest.  I chuck GM in the Omegas, Rover, Kawasaki and the lawnmower ;D ;D ;D
