Looks like you will do anything to get better mpg! What do you use for a drivers seat? A plastic gerden chair to save weight?  ;D

May be I am a bit odd, but I love to see a car in that state of dismantling 8-) 8-) 8-)

I once stripped a Carlton down to the bulkhead to replace a heater matrix and replace the blower unit.  Everything was so easy to get to I had this passing thought to keep it stripped down for ease of future replacement / repair.

There was also this great sense of achievement when I put it all back together again without any problems!  Even my ex was most impressed, although he never let me loose on his cars like that!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

As others said, main blower.  Said blower now on where back seat should be, so you can see straight through to pollen filter now ;D

Few more bits of ducting removed, struggling to work out how the main air distrubution unit comes out.  Nearly down to heater matrix ;D ;D ;D

Nope. Seeing as I'm going to lose money on it, I may as well learn and do it properly :y
