LPG Pump Reliabilty
« on: 28 April 2010, 20:41:37 »

Is it me or are LPG pumps crap? Everytime i go to Asda one of them is out of order, this time both  >:(

Shell garage has week seals, and this weekend local cheapy one at Towcester had both pumps out  :(

Got bit hacked off Asda was broke again, 2.2 got a bit of a spanking on way back, regularly going well past 4k and into 5/6k  :o

Still averaged 10.6p a mile though!  8-)

My sympathies, tunnie :(
As I said in an earlier post, both the LPG pumps are out at my local ASDA because of 'a software problem'. It doesn't look like anyones in a hurry to fix said problem either, and my LPG kit arrives tomorrow >:(

Pumps at Towcester working Tuesday morning.  Just as well, as I had this strange bleeping noise all the way there, and petrol gauge was falling fast ::)

Its normal for Asda pumps to be out, irrespective of petrol or diesel (and LPG it seems).

Toying with wiring it up to the airbag, so when I run low, it will do a better job of attracting my attention...   :-[

Update from me Vis: Asda.
According to the petrol station manager at my local store, Asda has a software glitch with certain makes of LPG pump. At the time of writing, there are 17 (yes, 17!) stations in the North & East of England with closed down LPG pumps and he couldn't give me a timescale for repair!!! :(

Hard to mount the gauge in mini-facelift, mine had perfect mount point, easily viewable.

That said i do go by mileage only, as red light comes on at 310 miles, and i can do 400 to a tank of gas

According to JohnnyCool (Asda Manager) there are only 11 or 12 stores nation wide that sell LPG  :-/

i guess I could do 300+m on my (smaller) tank if I really did a motorway commute, rather than the dealing with the usual retards on the road, including the retarded council, who being a bunch of useless, incompitent retards, do the retarded thing that retards do of starting to dig up the roads during the rush hour.  I did open the window, call them a bunch of useless incompitent retards, but being the retarded retards they are, just looked back at me like a bunch of retards.

Rant over. For now.

Rant not over.  This is approximately 6 months after the senior retards aplogised on TV about being a bunch of retards, yet the retards fix the same bit of broken road, as the retards ballsed it up the first time around, and break the promise of not starting non urgent repairs during rush hour.  But being retards like they are....
