Its like any insurance you buy it but may never use it :-/
Ok, Never heard of tyre insurance

I think it something BMW do a matter of routine to keep there costs down on the amount of tyres that fail :-/

They offered it to me when I enquired about the car.  Thats all I know unfortunately :-/
