Car keyed after a week!!!!!
« on: 01 July 2010, 08:14:27 »

i cant believe it, ive only had my car a week and some git has keyed all the front of the bonnet and offside wing! WHY??? its a fairly standard looking Omega, all its got is a chrome mesh grill! my 306 was far more attention grabbing and never got touched!

whoever's done it has gone out of there way because the offside is away from the pavement?

I think damage like that should always be repaired S - from the simple perspective of denying the culprit ownership over that aspect of your life.

It depends on whether or not the car is likely to suffer further damage, a lot of these acts are of a random nature - a fact that doesn't make them any more palatable, but a fact none the less.

If you follow your original plan to have the car resprayed and it is attacked again, your resolve will be tested without doubt - only you can decide if it's worth it :y

well i'll leave it for a few months to see what happens but i will spray it eventually as i cant stand having my cars looking untidy, im thinking of doing it in dark blue gloss, i think the newer astras have a similar colour to what i want

Sorry to hear that. >:(

It annoys me when I have to park the car in a dodgy area/small car park etc,  I always get that worring feeling 'what if'  :(
