tyres??? which are best
« on: 13 July 2010, 21:40:40 »

just a thought really as to what make of tyres are preferred i use goodyear nct 5's or uniroyal rallye 340's on my omega's all 4 matching replaced in sets of 4.

I seem to get good mileage out of them 10-15,000 and another 5,000 swapping front to rear  the give good grip and are quite quiet on a cruise 225-55-16 and 225-55-17.

I have Falkins all round, 30k on still good, but just my opinion  :y

yep.. ;D

continentals, eagle f1 and potenzas are very good but not cheap..

medium price goodyear efficient grip ,excellence and
Bridgestone Turanza is also ok..

Toyos and Kumho can be cheap alternatives but dont expect the same performance..

and stay away from chinese brands they are a real pain..

Personally preferred the SC2s to the SC3s.  Unsure what to get now my preferred Dunlop SP9000s are no longer available :(

Firestone Firehawk SZ80.  Not exactly expensive, but excellent all-round tyre in the dry, and more than capable in the wet.  Only criticism would be they are a tad noisy.

Not even trying. ;D

 ;)

I have just put some Kumho KU31s on the front of mine. Every bit as good as the SC3s I had on before IMHO, dry or wet, and much cheaper. Perhaps very slightly noisier. Remains to be seen how long they last though. ::)

912's lasted 11 or 12k in my possession although binned early due to appalling stability.

Tunnie it's the pedal on the right.  ;)
