Anyone on here Know of a supplier that can do me a rear wheel bearing removal tool for my saloon miggy?
I've had a look at TIS and there ref; number is KM-620.
Can you buy this tool ? or borrow one maybe?.
I've searched the Ebay and the sealey site but cant find anything similar. Plenty of tools to put new bearings in but nothing to press them out.

Pig of a job apparently. Easier to change the whole arm with a known good baring from a breaker...so they say.... :-/

when they are stuck....that tool just bends!

You need 1 very big press as doudt if standard tools would remove them.

Best bet is to find a local garage and get them to give you  "fixed price" then it is down to them .

Thinking back....IM sure you helped when mine wouldnt budge a year or 2 back....Didnt you pop in at marks for spings or something while we were doing my bearing...so you know how bad they can be

Yes James/Mark That was me trying to help. Think it was early last year when we came over to Marks.

Im not 100% sure if it is a wheel bearing gone, I.ve got a regular (wheel rotation noise) coming from somewhere. Unsure what sort of noise a bearing makes when they go. I can only hear/feel the noise when im on a new road (smooth tarmac) at about 30/40mph. tyres seem ok and i've done the usual jack it up and shake the wheel checks.
Maybe its the brakes/ shoes at the back or even the diff showing me signs of giving up(Hope Not). Car has done 144K. New Cambelt due at 150K

I  have a set of wheels/tyres (just legal) in the garage, i'll swap them and see what happens

Even we haven't got the tooling for these as it wasn't a blanket issue tool from GM

I've tried to get an idea of how it works from the pictures on TIS but to be honest they aren't that go

Thanks Andyc. it's a bit annoying that something as simple as pushing one piece of metal out of another is made so difficult because of a particular shaped tool.

I'm gonna be replacing my rear discs, pads and hand brake shoes soon and while its stipped down i'll have a good inspection. Does anyone know the push through diameter at the back of the hub bearing? think its 52 mm

how long take to change bearing for you?

took me a saturday morning to do both, then found out later that it was the wanli ditchfinders that were making the noise

It is amazing what effect poor tyres can have, It took me two years to work out that falcon tyres are not the most directionally stable in the world, changed every related component and it made no odds, even the parts that had failed made little odds. 

Just could not believe tyres could have that effect, and everyone, elsewhere, talked so highly of them.

Anyway, best of luck with it.
