Back on the diagnosis....Does the noise ease off as you unload the wheel going round corners?

my ditchfinders also eased off on the noise  going round corners.

Hi jimbob. Noise stops when slowing down to go round corners. Just hear it when i'm going in a straight line at about 35/40 mph .More noticeable on very smooth (new roads) council have been re-surfacing round here this last couple of months. Probable why i've noticed the noise. I'm going to put my old CD alloys on in the morning (the tyres are just legal) to eliminate them from this issue.

Update.......
I've put my old CD alloys back on with just legal (about 3mm) tyres and all noise's have gone completely. :-/ :).

Strange one this, i remember when i fitted the other wheels and new tyres the road noise increased quite a bit. I just thought this was the norm when new rubber is fitted. I've checked the other tyres and wheels, and they are in perfect condition (No tyre damage and the wheels are mint). Think i'll look around for some nice  facelift Elite alloys and treat myself to some new rubber for them :y
