« on: 19 November 2010, 17:18:31 »

BMW 1200d

It did 110 miles for £15.84 of diesel.   Well impressed!! :D :D :D

It was indeed!  Very positive steering and road holding, with  good acceleration when needed, along with smooth, very quiet, travel.   If I wanted a quality town car this would be on my list :y :y

Almost (please see my "Hectic 2 weeks and Insurance Success" thread), as I have only the white van man front bumper scuff to sort out that will be done by the van's hire company. ;) ;)

Pretty much what a 3.2 Auto on LPG returns, in fact.

Very good little cars actually, quick, handle lovely, drive nice, nice and quiet, but they're expensive. LZ how did you drive that thing? When I had one for a week or two it returned 52 MPG :o Very quick though Liz didn't you find and mine had the older engine to that :y

Thats appalling  :o

Assuming you paid around £1.20 a liter thats just about 37mpg and 14p per mile.

I can crack 10p a mile on lpg, heck even on petrol I was only averaging 16p a mile.

I actually really like BMW's, if only it wasn't for the image problem.

driving a BMW says things about you that I'd really rather not have said about me !

I am immune to the hate brigade. I have owned a BMW of various models for over 10 years. I am really tempted to get another 530D Saloon ( current shape, although second hand) I am only doing 5000 miles a year, how can I justify it?? :'( :'(
