Tyres Follow on
« on: 26 November 2010, 13:37:40 »

Following on from another thread, and not wishing to hijack there thread.
What is a resonable tyre to buy. I am in need of 4 tyres so cost is quite important. These people have been recommended to me http://www.etyres.co.uk/car-tyres-uk/searchresultsnew?tyreWidthId=8&tyreProfileId=6&tyreWheelId=4&tyreLoadRating=0&tyreSpeedId=0&orderBy=price&asc=1&newmenu=YES&showmenu=YES&tyre4X4=F

Just read a tyre test where a Dunlop, not sure which, came 2nd in class in a noise test  :o, and thought yours where quieter than my sc3's.... which by the way, won over all by some distance  :P

I must say Chris that usually I like to have Avons, but due to a great price I selected this time to have these Pirelli's.  So far I have found them very good, giving me great handling, although I must admit suddenly I can so easily spin the rear wheels well when accelerating from a junction without trying!! ::) ::) ::) :D :D ;)

I've got 235 x 45 x 17  Kumho Ectsa SPT's on mine and can't fault them.
Replaced Bridgestone's albeit 16" and are every bit as good regards , dry, wet and roadnoise performance .
I got mine from Camskil

They seem very cheap. But I think I am being stupid because I cannot find Kumho in 225/55/16  :(
