Some people just dab the brakes every few minutes, I could often do the 75 mile blast only using brakes at junctions...

But you've only got a 4 pot and drive like Miss Daisy :P ::) :D

Ignore him Tunnie, he's bored from having an old man's back so he has taken up a new sport.

However, give him time and he'll be back in the doghouse  ;D

I don't even spend that on my MV6, and as GayBoyGixer will say, I'm a bit anal over having constant fresh pads.

Most OOFers tend to stick to genuine GM discs, as the pattern ones are invariably shite.

They are about £75 + VAT for 2 discs and 4 pads on TC.

Thinking about it, I've done 70k in my car. The brakes were fairly well worn when I bought it (possibly original, at 40k) and I have changed the front pads and disks once, the rear pads and disks once, and it might have had an additional set of front pads. I can't remember. Oh, and a fluid change or two, of course.

Changed my discs as there were tiny cracks in the old ones and they were 4 years old and quite worn.

I remember being told new discs for every 3 or 4 pad sets

Every other pad set seems about average for me. Modern pads give the disks a harder life.

I've always worked on the basis of new discs on fitting the third set of pads regardless of thickness of disc.

Not sure of the OEM pads are any harder on the discs yet but TBH the TC discs aren't overly expensive IMHO.
