Errr they put them on slip road exits. You do drive on roads and see these right?  :-/

They're not on all that I've seen, they have been on a couple mind you.

It certainly does, last one I had was a Snooper S3, that was genius until it got stolen  . That certainly looks to fit a good purpose though, and I like the display

Hatfield tunnel on the A1 - camera (or two) before the tunnel, one after the junction to the A414, but none on the A414 slip road exit.

well ill have to check on the exit road. as i never speed it dont affect me anyway

They only work in as much that people do slow down. Had a few blasts through at 20 over, having seen others go faster, not a peep.  :-/

I can safely say in Austria they work and i have the paperwork to prove it! this was before i had a good grasp on the german language! and then i had an excuse for not understanding durchschnitt!

I find it simply unbelievable how many drivers don't seem to understand the word "average" There are plenty of warnings as you approach them clearly stating "AVERAGE SPEED CAMERA'S IN OPERATION" or similar yet you see so many hurtling along way over the limit then braking hard before the camera's.

Question, do they have different types of average camera? The ones on the A404 (M4-M40 link road) appear to have two cameras pointing down at different angles, I assumed they were averaging my speed over the mile or so approaching the gantry.
