There is a bloke at work who has an Omega Elite and while chatting to him about 2 months ago he was telling me of different problems with his car... I asked if he had a computer with internet access, he did, so i gave him the web address for here.... next time I see him he is telling me about his car which has started missing.... "have you checked the spark plug wells for oil?" he hadn't, i asked "Did you look that site address up i gave ya will save you loads of money, great guys, can have a laugh?" "not yet!" was his reply...
About a week later:
"Yes I have oil covering the plugs and the leads have all gone funny at the ends!!!!" Tells him that Cam Cover Gaskets need changing use genuine ones as others are nowhere near as good. As for leads they are expensive but there is a guy on the Forum the site address i gave you who gets excellent quality ones for around £75 cheaper than Vauxhall".......... "Oh right" he says
Last night see him again, "I have put new gaskets on, got them for £19.99 from Motorways (local car accessories shop) and also leads £30, but now I have got the engine management light and I think the TC light on the dash... so i looked in the yellow pages, so I have a diagnostic guy coming out to fix it, he says I don't charge a call out fee but the price will start at £80"
I replied "You didn't look that site up then?" he shook his head "No"
I just thought what a 'silly man' and said "It would have saved you a lot of money" and walked off....
You try and help some people eh!
