What happens when the Cambelt Change is over due..

The car isn't an Omega but the Cambelt Change is 4,000 miles over due...





What car do you think it is?? :)

Looks like it was lucky it stopped before that broken-off valve head did terminal damage.

Impressive, actually snapping a valve :o :o Check the pistons and bores carefully on that one ;) ;)

Car... Not entirely sure but don't think it's a Vauxhall... Can't decide between Rover and Ford as my guess :-/ :-/

A few small marks on the pistin tops, raised them all to the top of their stroke and they all seem to measure the same distance so fingers crossed  ;)

Lazytinker it isn't a Vauxhall  :-*

The inlet does look (BMW era) Roveresque, but not a K...

I have re lapped all the new 16 valves and refitted, cleaned everything up ready to build up tomorrow. New Cambelt Kit, Water Pump, Head Gasket & Bolts etc ready.   :y

Hmmm... Got a vague recollection of VW having a similar inlet/exhaust layout at some point in the past :-/ :-/

But I don't care... I'm not playing your silly game unless you post a picture of the engine before you dismantled it :P ::) :D
