« on: 22 May 2011, 22:52:38 »

What's the spec with these? ESP mv6 and suspension. Are they lsc?

What year are they? What was the order of production and changes etc.

It occurs i've never encountered one. :-/

Are you talking just MV6? Or Mini-facelift generally?

Chris,
after all the fairly recent investigations  of trying to sort out my migs, rear end I 'm sure only the facelift had the LSC  :-/ :-/

Only facelift models 2.2 Sport & MV6  are listed with LSC apparently. :-/ :-/

Mini-Facelift MV6's have the same suspension as the rest of the range. Facelift MV6 and Sport models are the only ones with different suspension from the factory.

AFAIK Mini facelift MV6's have stiffer / lower shocks.  Thats it, springs are the same.

Well both really. I presumed mini fl would be same suspension as pre, but wasn't sure.  :-/

What is the difference between pre and mini fl?  :-/

Also what year was mini produced?
I realize reg dates can vary from manufacture dates but I had a 98 cdx pre fl. A mate had a 99 2.0 cdx face lift, which I guess must have been late 99 to leave room to produce the mini face lift.

So I guess mini fl was late 98 early 99 on the production line?   :-/

Nope. I have a late 97 minifacelift.

Several members on here have mini facelifts registered in 2000. As ever the production dates were blurred depending on when they got registered I guess.

As to differences. I thought not a lot and bought a 97 Elite for spares. Quite a lot of the parts and wiring looms etc are different. e.g. the self levelling suspension rear end sensors are different on the two cars even though the shockers are the same. :o

My money is still on the springs being the part that differs the ride height & not the shocks The springs that are on the rear of my car now are 40mm shorter than std elite ones . ride is now more taught & firmer & car sits 15 - 20mm lower now.

As for the front surely the suspension leg is the same on all models -with whatever springs are fitted giving the differing ride height & firmness ?

Am I mad  :o :o :o or have I missed something more obvious with the shocks theory ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Minifacelift is MY1998 and MY1999. MY1997 and earlier is prefacelift. MY2000 on is facelift.

My MV6 is minifacelift.  MV6 was not available before minifacelift (some plod were MV6 before, but not any kind of standard spec)
