AA tow?
« on: 14 July 2011, 18:10:56 »

Righto the BMW is going in for a timesert tomorrow to a garage about 1.5 miles down the road but I don't want to run it with an open cylinder,I.e no spark plug as it is shooting petrol out and it won't do it any good methinks.

Am going to phone the AA and be straight i.e it's broke, can't be driven so give me a tow and can you come at 8am tomorrow. Do you reckon they will do it?

Can't be arsed with waiting and them poking about as I know whats needed and they can't fix it

For the sake of a mile and a half, I would drive it there - gently.

Well they are sending a patrol between 7-8 am desoite telling them they WILL NOT be able to fix it they have to send the normal dude out, hopefully he has the gear to tow the big guy.

I would drive it but it really stinks of petrol as the injectors still working while the upstroke of the piston is woofing a nice coat of petrol over the exhaust manifold :o

Not worth the hassle or chance when im a paid up member of the AA

A tenner!!! More like fifty quid. Maybe a little less for cash.
Breakdown cover is a real bargain considering the actual costs involved, even with the pathetic amount they pay us to do the job.

A tenner!!
