eBay Omega
« on: 28 July 2011, 23:56:05 »

Nothing to do with me but is a sought after model. (interior is too pale for me ;))
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-3-2-ELITE-V6-AUTO-ESTATE-NEW-MOT-/260824178542?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cba551f6e#ht_3296wt_1139

It also seems that the current owner has had his/her collar felt to maintain the full dealer service history  :o :o :o .......
There are some huge recent bills with the car (all at the Vauxhall main dealers, briefly they were: July 2008 at 41k £1300 for replacing both front suspension arm bushes, replace diff pinion oil seal and replace cam oil seal and cambelt and tensioners ; July 2008 41k £302 2 new Michelins ; June 2009 48k service,In march 2010 48k 1 Michelin £170;In June 2010 at 55k a massive £2715 was spent on 3 Michelins,a major service, new battery, air con regas, new silencers and mufflers,2 new rear shockers, new lower control arm and a new central locking motor

Just so everyone knows, I will be bidding on this one myself.  :y

Would be good to know if I'm going to be bidding against another OOFer. Hopefully not!  :-/

I actually think it's in pretty poor condition. The bodywork has certainly seen a fair amount of abuse in it's life. I'm going on the assumption of oil cooler failiure, but we'll have to see!  :y

I'm hoping that the faults listed will keep the price down...  ::)

I was looking at that yesterday on the bay, when it was sat there on its own at 900 and no bids, to be honest was thinking about having a punt purely on the mileage and year, colour both in and out is not really my cup of tea.

Shall watch it and see, not going to be wanting to pay too much but who does.

Another thing to consider is the disabled bit, so tax exempt for the disabled driver only, so you would have to shell out more money on new road tax from day one on top off what your paying for the car (3.2 03 plate tax?).

Hmm, ok, was thinking it would be more, as I had to tax a 03 2.0L Mondeo last week at 134 notes for 6 months.

the quoted repair cost you'd need to have the iq of a fencepost to pay!
