Nothing car related, but took bike to work for first time this year on Thursday and Friday. First time using Muffs and summer gloves instead of winter gloves. Muffs far, far better for winter riding.

Popped into Central London after work on Friday, work to Trafalgar square in 35 mins. Parked up in Q-Park underground carpark, free for motorbikes  :y

Rode home very late night, wondered how cold it was, temp said -1c  :o

Hands nice and warm and did not even have the handle bar heaters on, looking forward to using the bike more.

Tried to get the back bumper off the BMW to replace the broken reversing sensor.. well, mostly succeeded.  Last time I tried I found that some genius had bodged the nearside rear mud flap on with a giant screw and square nut inside the bumper which, naturally, have now become one lump of rust that needs drilling off so..

Took it off the off side only but still had to take a wheel off to get to the fixings. Flexed the bumper out and replaced the Rear Middle Right sensor (Hinten mittel rechts). Which side would you guess at? Me I thought "from the drivers' perspective" but no, apparently it's as you look at the front of the car so it's the sensor on the left. The one that was harder to get to due to the aforementioned bloody mud flap..  >:(

Put it all back together and got the last screw stuck in one of those plastic nuts half in and half out, grrr. Sorted that.

Put the plate back on and went to move it and congratulate myself on a job well done and ... bong "Rear number plate light failure". RAAAAAGE  >:(

Fixed that. Parked it up outside the garage again, job done. Until the next thing..

I assume, like Opti, you have your own Lincolnshire estate with your own pool, too?  :P

Very nice for some !! 8)

Where abouts are you heading ? Drive safely, need a chat when you get back to Blighty  :y

We were at my parent's house near Cognac(yes, we visited the distiller, had a taste of the 76%second distillation straight out of the still :o before buying some drinkable stuff) until this morning.

I'm now at my aunt's near the Spanish border drinking beer and eating cheese.

Andrew, we return next Sunday; I'll drop by.

Broken it  ::) white one has been abandoned for a week and all the electrickery seems to have escaped...

Normally not an issue, but management types have recently decided to remove both the carpark wombles and their booster packs >:( So I either wait until the free AA service starts at 7 or try my banking breakdown service.

Turns out that they will be here in 10, so as first impressions go, not bad...

Just need the car to fire off a booster pack... What are the chances of that lol  ::)

Found the Battlebus, started it (just), dragged it home, and filled up the electricity bottle.
