And what cowboy was that ;D

I have a Mk3 mixer ::). As per Mk1 and 2, entorely untested ;D

Were you wanting some PCBs made for them? 'cos I've recently sussed that bit. :y

Best test the prototype first, though. ::)

Indeed... The last one was met with "Why doesn't that work? Oh well... Not my car" ::) ;)

I hope he hasn't re-used the magic smoke emitted from Mk. 2. It really doesn't work well when second-hand. ;D
;D ....oh hang on, smoke?  Isn't mine the mk2?  Works very well IMO. Just needs a slight tweak to stop the noise on the car audio. Callers are unaware of any of this.
He must have kept all the smoke in yours ;)

Still not 100% convinced there wasn't a slight balls up when he assembled mine... He did freely admit he was feeling a "little" hung over when building it ::)

Thats why I've built up a good collection of them - as spares for my cars, due to using CDRs ;D.  Knackered one CDC3 (but not the laser), and the Nav Slot laser in the MV6 is dying due to too many (audio) CDRs, though its the (genuine) Nav CD it keeps spitting out.

Do as I say, not as I do, eh? ;D

I fitted with the help of my mate,  new rear brake pads, a nearside tie rod end and a newish nearside headlight with the help of the guides on this site, thanks OOF, then the nice man at the garage  gave me a shiney new MOT for another year for a spend of £100 including the price of the MOT, I'm very happy with that.

Put on some H7 osram nightbreakers as the main beam, wait to see how they perform at night as they have good reviews here and elsewhere.  :)

If you want your Phillips lasers to survive, yes.  Hence, my little stockpile ::)

Burn it at full chat, and on substandard media (99% of the shit tthats out there), and on shit drives (including all laptop drives), laser will die quickly.

Turned up at my mate's to pop the car on the 2 poster, fit eternal exhaust and go home. Simple.

Battery was flat, then car was frozen inside and out and I considered it antisocial to run it up to temperature with no exhaust.

Eventually got it on the lift. Exhaust fitted with no aggro.

Then battery flat again, struggled to get car out of garage, then jump start, etc., etc.

Why is it never easy? ::)

Throttle body fitted today, was -4 but the fact it solved the problems I have been having I couldn't careless!

Big thanks to all on this site including Andy C who suggested the throttle body change instead of the cam sensor!

Exhaust being done tomorrow, thats another £85, luckilly I've just spoken to the MOT man, and he said if its only the exhaust thats wrong with it, he'll pass it as he knows its booked in for a new exhaust at 2pm and the MOT is at 10am.

Nice when you know people with some common sense between their ears  ;)
