Pressed the Omega into service again today as the Cav had a flat tyre this morning.
Went to fill it with LPG and noticed that the "filler cap" was missing. :(
Then noticed that whoever used the LPG pump before me had left their cap sat on the pump. :)
  :-X ::) ;D

Sweet! What a result  ;D

Changed crank sensor on the side of the A40 at Postcombe.

Well... As my tools were in the boot of another car in Solihull, I confess that I had to get the nice RAC man out to actually fit it at the block end while I plugged it in at the top!

Still, at least I had one in the boot, just in case!

Changed the ar filter on the 2.6 , expected to take out a really dirty one but pleasantly suprised  clean .
According to service  booklet last changed at 43,968 in 2008 now on 78,500 , removed a genuine GM one & replaced with a genuine GM one, only £20.82 from my local main dealer.

A day late with this but:

Wednesday Amy & I took the rear brakes on the M3 apart and reapplied anti-squeal paste* to try and cure the horrible squeal it's gained since Rockingham; all of the paste had evaporated due to heat  :-[ I also replaced the 'new' calliper retaining springs with the original BMW ones as the dimensions were slightly off on the new ones. That didn't quite sort it so..
Thursday I took the front brakes apart and did the same thing there, squeal pretty much sorted now thankfully!
Today Amy and her little brother washed, polished, vacuumed, upholstery cleaned, tyre blacked, and polished the exhaust pipes on said same M3 ready for me dropping him and two friends off to their school prom later.

Oh and yesterday I realised it may finally be time for a new exhaust on the Omega as one of the exhaust tips now hangs at a funny angle - it rusted to the point it could no longer support it's own weight ;D ;D

*anti squeal paste = copperslip ;D
