Pressed new GM rear bushes in the wishbones, changed the front shocks, mounts and springs and changed the rear springs.
To do the rear springs, I used the very helpful guide and I like the bit in the guide that says "Now remove the bolts securing the bottom ends of both rear shock absorbers and pop the shock bottoms out of the recess in the rear hub assembly. Yeah right, that was going to happen wasn't it.  ;D ;D Mine were popping nowhere, so I took the easier option of undoing the top shock mounts and lowering them instead.   :)
Do I feel satisfied...... no I don't. I feel ill, really ill. After two days of swinging on a torque wrench, under the car and swapping spring compressors from one set of springs to another I ache like hell. I even struggled to get the wheels back on, it was that bad. When I sat in the bath it felt like somebody had set fire to my knees and when I get up out of the chair there isn't a part of me that doesn't hurt.  :'( :'(
I'm going to try to numb it with a few Stella's but I can't see that working. Maybe it's time to admit that I'm too old for it all.  :'(
I found that they don't move easily if the shock absorber is restraining the spring. If you do it with the suspension compressed (even slightly) it will pop out.
They had a desire to leave the rubber bush behind, like it was stuck there. The shocks haven't been on there that long either.  :-\  I had bottle jacks under the hubs but it just didn't want to play ball. The advantage of releasing the top shock fixing is that it's out of the elements of the weather so should be easier to undo and release.  :y
Cheers for the tip.  :y

Nothing! Got a week off work and instead of working on the Manta project today i grab the rods and spent the morning here

It was a cracking morning with the mist/fog hanging all day where the sun didn't break through, didn't see anyone for almost five hours. Didn't catch, water was very low and very clear but have marked a couple of spot to try next weekend

Looks like a lovely lake Andy. A bit cold though for both you and the fish. Not surprised they weren't hungry.  :)

Sold one of them and then had an interesting terrifying drive in it. It had to be towed 70ish miles to Naarfik, but the A frame has a knackered ratchet, so I had to sit in it and steer while it was towed, in the dark on the end of a 6 foot towing pole.
50 felt a lot more scary than 150.  :o :o ;D ;D

Cooked the brakes. Don't tell Gixer.

Also put some petrol in it, light wasn't on, but the range warning was pissing me off more than the low coolant warning that started popping up ;D
