Drove it to Wolverhampton, parked it in a city centre car park, and now can't remember which one. Not aided by several pints of San Miguel.

Sod it, I'll just wear the same clothes again tomorrow :-[

Finally got the oil filter housing cap off to change the oil and filter, thanks to the advice on here, metal band wrench locked against the block held the canister tightly enough for me to loosen the cap without spinning the whole assembly, now all back together and tightened to the correct torque, so hopefully no dramas next time round.

Finally got around to fitting the replacement climate control buttons that I acquired off a scrapper at work a couple of weeks ago. Mine weren't bad, but this one was perfect. Just wish I'd had the time to get the window switches as well

Lost a hire car in Brussels once, couldn't remember which street I had parked it in - never did find it - hire company supplied a replacement next morning ;)  Guess they must have found it ok though.

Completed my first thousand miles since buying it at beginning of Feb. Now 18,500.
Such an improvement on the Insignia!

After 2200 miles in the Insignia, it's infinitely more refined than the Omega, but they are very different cars. They aren't comparable in many respects, and to try isn't fair on either :-\

Maybe, but the Insignia in which I did 86,000 in 3 years and which replaced an Omega @ 180K didn't suit me hence my return to an Omega. I had two Senators before the first Omega.
Just my preference.

I bought the Insignia to retire my 264k Omega, so it's purely a work tool, and as such is almost perfect. It is no Omega though... fortunately I still have my 3.2 8)

Well 264 is quite an achievement! None of my Vauxhalls exceeded 200 but I have a 1980 Wedge Lagonda V8 at 115 (85 by me since 1995).  The Omega is now my daily driver.

My MV6 is still going strong at 214k. When I put some pads on it!

Maybe tomorrow. Lead astray again. I'll be glad to be home, my body can't deal with this abuse any more  :-[
