Split intake hose :-\
Yup, split radially, but before MAF, so not sure what impact it would have...

Worked for a few hours on the brother's Elite DTI estate, have got to replace top injector seals due to air leak, just at the stage of taking the cam shaft out with engine fully locked up with locking kit. But have to start another 72 hour week in the morning so on hold for the next few days. Have cleaned all carbon off inlet manifold and butterfly ready for refit. :D

You cna do them without fully removing the cam, just by loosening the caps.

will have a go at that thanks :y

OK, what a day changed the top seal on the injectors on the brothers DTI Elite and the one on number 1 pot had a nick out of the bottom of it. Put all new seals in, cam shaft back in (as could not get seal out with cam shaft in place) but the timing chain has moved and is I think one tooth out, I now have to remove timing chain cover, a job I have never done as yet, can't get the bolt holding the bottom pulley to unscrew :-\ >:(. On nights tonight for 3 nights so will have to look at this later this week :(

Just made a bracket for the fire extinguisher. 3 pieces of steel strap TIGed together, it clamps under the seat runners and places the extinguisher on the floor just in front of the seat. This does limit the seat travel by about 20mm, but even my shortarse sister doesn't have it that far forward. I'll powder coat it next time I have a batch to do.

Probably quicker just to remove the powersounder. ::) ::) ::)

You don't have an extinguisher to save the car, that's why you pay insurance. A car that's been fire damaged is one I don't want back. The extinguisher is to ensure that you rescue the important stuff in the car.

When i owned my 2.2 LPG....it had to have a fire extinguisher fitted to comply with council rules of being a private hire car.....if it caught fire....it would have been a race with my passengers of who could run the fasted  ::) Sod hanging about when theres a tank of LPG in the boot  ;D

However, there is a fine line between too crispy to repair and Trumpton watching it burn from the other side of the road.
