Replumbed coolant pipes to the LPG vapouriser so that it will switch over quicker and whilst there gave the coolant system and heater matrix a good old flush out!  :y

Also replaced nearside cam cover gaskets with new (genuine) ones as No 6 was swimming!  :o but as I only had one set of new gaskets and 2 sets of old gaskets I fitted the best of the old ones to the offside as there was a small amount of oil there as well and a slight leak on to the coolant pipe.  :(  Guess I'll have to revisit that at some point.  ::)

Also noticed that the oil cooler plate was weeping but left for another day as didn't have the sealant.  Might change the oil cooler as at 220,000 miles and as far as I know the original, it's probably due to pop soonish!  :-\

So more what I've done over the weekend, but all back together now and running.  I've only tested it a couple of times from dead cold, but so far the LPG is switching over quicker than it's ever done!  :y

Thanks to JamesV6CDX and Kevin Wood for the tips and advice for the vapouriser replumb!  :y :y :y

3.2 got an outing to sea side yesterday, highlighted again we need more space for anything more than a day trip.

The 3.2's are seriously rubbish on fuel, 28mpg over 150 miles 95% motorway too  ::)

Plan to do same run in the Estate in a few weeks, be interesting to see how the 3.0 compares  :)
Other things equal, the 3.0l is more economical. That said, 28mpg isn't bad from a large, heavy 200bhp barge.

They smell the same ;D

New front discs and pads on the Merc... a doddle of a job, but £208 all in for the pads, discs and sensor wire.
To put that in perspective, the pads included the four anti rattle springs, and all four caliper slider bolts, so no extra fittings to buy 8)

Need to investigate further, but might need another set of Monaro VXR calipers, as it looks as though they'll bolt straight on without the adapter bracket...

The rears will probably need doing next month as well ::)
