Bet TBs fuel pence per mile is still substantially less than yours... ::)

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bet you it is not.... considering KW said his is 12p and TB is no way near that. My last tank had me at almost get sub 9p mile.

Also considering his last tank of gas got him 200 miles, I seriously doubt he is getting any were near mine. I bet you it's more like double mine

Cost per mile includes everything: purchase price, finance cost, servicing, insurance, VED, fuel, depreciation etc etc. Nobody really works this out because it is really scary. The best way of keeping this down is to pay less for the car than it is worth, and to spend as little a possible on the running costs. Even an expensive to own(if you pay someone else to work on it) is cheap to run when it cost less than a grand, or it was paid for for years ago. Excluding VED and insurance, so far this year, my car has cost me about £240; that's a tyre, wishbones and trackrods, alignment, MOT and air filter.

You only live once, when you can. Why not? I'm very happy with what I have done. Sadly some just cannot be positive and just like to be nasty.

I need to buy a Galaxy/Zafira soon as well. do I care about deprecation? No.

Actually, it was just pence per mike that was mentioned. That, as stated, includes everything.

But, as long as you're happy with your decision, that is all that matters ;)

To be fair I did edit my original post, but dealer servicing and depreciation will hammer the ppm nonetheless  ;)

Very little difference, then. I needn't start worrying about whether I should start driving a tractor yet. ;D

I think I topped it up too much but none the less it will probably get sucked into the inlet manifold as usual

Took it to the garage today....its now booked in next Tuesday for service  :y.....asked garage blokey who's an MOT man about one of my dodgy looking front tyres, coz its near the wear bar and looking decidely thin on tread, for him to reply "that's fine, its nearly got 3mm left on it and you can see the tread on the outside 1/3rds of the tyre". So it didn't get changed today.....might on Tuesday tho  :-\
