Got my brand new genuine GM Track rod end arrived in the post, ex-dealer stock. £6.50, so that's not bad . In the box of bits it goes, for a rainy day  :)

Only 3 more to get.

Nothing. My knackered knee joint is giving serious jip now. Kept me awake last night. Fit for fackall today, despite having a lot to do.
Must get booked in for replacement, as its as overdue as a 100k Omega cambelt.  ::)
Which is for the knackers first? You....or the omega?  ;D

Definitely me. The Omega is very well preserved. I'm falling apart on a daily basis.  ;D

No that feeling very well  :(
I've ended up wearing a 6 quid Sports Direct knee support for the last week.
Works very well tbh  ;)

Be careful with the knee support as you can weaken your knee further if you wear it a lot.  ;)

Stuck a pair of Westlake SV308's  235/ 45/17's (97) on the back end of mine for the MOT last month on recommendation of the bloke at the tyre place I always use.
He isn't the sort of bloke to bullshit either so gave them a go.

120 quid all in later and 600 miles further on, I must say they are quite, very good in the wet. I haven't really pushed them yet but upto now, i'm impressed  :)

£340 all in. Place I use is usually on the ball with prices. Just have to give them 24 hours notice of what you want.

After 730 miles I'd initially say they are no worse than the RT's. As to them being better, I'd need to put some more miles on them.

After the experience of the broken thrust washer on the TD, on the Elite 3.2 at 62k, I dropped the gearbox sumps, after emptying the rear with an extractor pump, blew out the ATF cooler, and refitted with new filter and ATF. The old fluid wasn't filthy, but mid range discoloured. Disappointingly, it only took just over two litres of fluid to refill, despite much working of gears. (Yes the engine was running). It will be checked again in a week or so.This morning I replaced the diff oil, and although there is a slight weep from the front seal, I got the full litre out. Going to replace the brake fluid and coolant this afternoon, and try to trace the AC leak. :y

For about the 15th time in the last week, I have tried to work out why my 190D throws the aux belt off the pulleys every time the engine is started. Its driving me mad.  >:( :'(
