Zaffi oil filter change , clean grubby interior from mucky sprog

Fought off the tiredness and cba and did a little bit of work on the Omega today.
Was going to fit new GM rear pads and shiny new retaining pins but found the discs are past their best, so will leave that job until I get a new pair of discs.
While I was down there, I took the discs off to have a look at the condition of the handbrake shoes (I have a new set of those in stock too).
The shoes looked ok, so I adjusted them at the wheels and then tweaked the cable a little bit, so now have a good handbrake, which will please the MOT man in a couple of months time.
Also checked the ATF level and found it needs topping up. Don't think I have any in stock, so will have to get some soon.

Nope. Its Kingston. The mongrels who live there (mistakingly) think its posh, and therefore any fines are expensive to start with.  Not that it was a parking fine. Its simply an easy way to raise funds for them.

Having four winter tyres of the correct size fitted to the new estate...

Gave the opportunity to have a good rummage under the car. Springs all intact but corroded, rear wishbone bushes shot, rear shocks corroded but not leaking, front discs corroded, rear pads need replacing. Oh, and there's a slight oil leak from the top of the engine at the back...

Suspension is original except for one ball joint, so at 15 years/102k, it needs replacing

On the plus side, handbrake mechanism is free, the diff is dry, the downpipe and flexi are sound and the rest of the exhaust was clearly replaced in the last six months.
