Mine passed 180,000 today. It still drives better than many new cars imo.
Got a chance to test the new GM pads I fitted all round a few days ago. I can see why TB and others recommend them so strongly. They were superb. 

Are these the genuine ones as per factory fit as opposed to the TC ones? I have had a few sets of those and the pedal feel is much improved over the TC versions.

I believe so. I still have the box in the shed so will post up the part number tomorrow.

The TC ones are very wooden on the first application if the car has been sat unused for several days. The OE ones do not suffer this

I tended to use OE on TBE (in a misplaced effort to reduce brake dust - failed! ) and TC on the Bullet. Apart from issue above, I'm not sure there is a noticeable difference, maybe the OE have a little more feel at slow speeds. Personally, not worth the extra £40 for me, esp considering the way I get through brakes.


(That said, I've probably got enough OE sets to see TBE through)

No problems with the Astra since I got it in 2013 but emissions light on today.

Maxscan shows P138 High Voltage Bank1 Sensor 2 and P140 02 Sensor No Activity Detected Bank 1 Sensor 2. Thought I had saved full data but not there when I went to download.

Will have to dig further but it will be beyond my ability to fix - just trying to get a basic handle on issue before dealer gets into it

I take it we’re talking about the zafira? Is this the vehicle you have put starship mileage on? No doubt the insurance company will tell you it’s worth less than your excess then.

Which I believe you were expecting.  I'm guessing with well over 150k on the clock, its value is deemed to be 3 parts of fik all - far less than its worth to you

Insurance renewal arrived.  TBE has jumped up a bit, the Battlebus has plummeted, and the Shag is around what I was expecting.

My last (non fault) accident dropped off the 5 year threshold in the past year, no idea if that has made a difference

Investigated why my headlight washers have stopped working, even though the pump whirs away nicely and there are no blockages. I dissected the end of the pump and with power applied across the terminals the impeller is spinning like a good'un, but it still no squirty. 

So, although the impeller is spinning quick enough when immersed in water, it seems to have lost the ability to suck and spit, whereas before it was such a good little squirter.

The temporary hack is actually quite a fun little drive, its even doing around 45mpg on the commute.

Offered about 2.5 times what I was expecting given the mileage was knocking on 194k.

Just need to decide on what next
