Bit of a sad day today. Pierre failed the MOT on a broken rear spring. I had a realisation that I didnt think it was worth my time and effort in doing the job myself to save approx. £75 so booked it in to be done next Tuesday. The second time since 1978 (and the first since 1980) that I have had a garage do work on my car, other than MOT or fitting tyres.Im getting old.
Plus the £50 for the MOT. I paid £700 for it just over two years ago, and have probably spent a total of a grand on it since then.Hateful little contraption, but its the fuel consumption that saves it from the scrappy.
Sacrificing a kidney isn't really an option. Left one hasn't worked since 1976.
