Oh and had a second spring order cancelled. By Larkspeed this time.

If I can't get them direct from Bilstein, they'll have to come from Mercedes... Which I might just do for the sake of simplicity  :-\
It might be quicker/easier/cheaper to fit some airbags  :-\

Sold it
You'll miss all that raw BHP and precise handling
off to the crusher or is it getting fixed ?
I will miss the ol' bus, it was a cracking, versatile, reliable car.

Bought by a breaker, given its age and possible low demand for bits, not sure if they will dismantle or just crush.  Given what they paid me for it, I'm assuming they will try to sell some bits....
It's a shame ,Had you been nearer and I had more time (Mum's dementia and trying to get work done to pay the bills and other things going on, leaves very little time ) I'd have stuck my spare front subframe under it for you .

I imagine once the scrap man sells the cat and a few other bits he'll be "Quids in "

Which reminds me DtB, I have a few odd bits left such as an air filter, some GM front pads, brake wear sensors, a single glow plug, blah blah.  And for reasons I can't grasp, a set of Astra-H/Zaf-B rear pads ;D.  If it is of any use to you to keep your fleet going, PM me an address and I'll bung it in a box and send to you.
Thanks for thinking of me Jamie  :) please PM me a price including shipping and your paypal ,that's all stuff I will use  :) we still have the Zafira A ,and 5 astras ,so saves you binning stuff and me buying it else where ,

in fact that's quite green and tree huggy of us both  :) so between us we may well have saved the planet from this "climate change" i've heard mention  :D

or at least offset the ZERO Co and HCs my omega spews out it's arse pipe   :-X

I hope Mrs TB settles to driving her new chariot  :) takes a while to get used to something new when you've had a car so long .

I did seriously ponder doing it, but I've done my back in again, so need to be a bit careful for a few weeks, and we were really struggling at times with just one car.

Still, it was only bought as a storage facility for when we had no garage, and that was over 8 years ago. And the scrappy paid over half of what I paid for it back then, excluding auction fees.  It did us proud.

She's getting used to it, cheers.  I think lower visibility out of new cars makes her a bit nervous parking it etc, but she'll get there.

She did mutter yesterday that it wasn't Chav (aka TBE, her old 3.2 Irmscher'd Elite, that now lives at Gixers for parts to keep his 3 going).  And she has a point, there isn't anything out there to match an Omega, and compromises have to be made.  She'd still be running around in TBE if it wasn't for the LPG situation around here.

£108+Vat, so hardly a deal breaker.

Bilstein want £72 each but apparently NLS.  ::)

what's the Jag forum say   :-\  :D
No, no, no.  A jag forum will say it can only be fixed by a dealer.  Owners are only allowed to wash the car, and never, ever open the bonnet....

You all know how nice and quiet I am😂 but when I questioned someone on there and we chatted I was deemed to be not playing kindly and had a life ban🤣🤣 they will be the losers👍

Which one though? Jaginfo has the best info, but can be a bit cliquey, and if you're not in with the crowd...    ...jaguarforum seems to have a stock answer of "take it to the dealer"...   ...and jaguarforums speak in a foreign language - I've yet to find the hood to open, and when I followed their advice to "take it to your local shop to get it fixed", the Co-op didn't have a clue...

That forum is obviously based in a country where they can't even pronounce Jaguar properly.

Years ago I had a friend from Tenrife. He was forever saying he really wanted a Jawa.
It took quite a while to determine he meant a British luxury car and not an Eastern European poor excuse for a motorbike.  ;D

Not sure what one it was now as it was on my iPad which has recently decided to just show a black screen. Off to buy a new one later as this phone is too small for my aged eyeballs👀

Moved Zeke under his own power for the first time in months! A grand total of 30 metres (or £13 offl Super if you pfefer).

Now to sort out the wicked-ass camber and give him a wash...

Quite a lot of speedway bikes used Jawa engines back in the day. Don't know if it's still the case.

Here's what I use:

which fits in the centre of an Elite/MV6 17" wheel and attaches magnetically to the bearing cap.

The other side is steel, and allows the use of a common £20 digital bevel gauge to read the camber directly with the wheels on the ground(although I lower them on to a pair of old steel wheels):

doing this first, then aligning the toe to be parallel with the sills, and readjusting the camber to the required setting means you probably won't have to pay to have the camber adjusted when the car is aligned properly - you will be starting from very close to what is needed.

I have two of these and if one would be useful I'll happily post it to you. It won't fit the 16" alloys as their centre cap hole is a different size.
