Nick and Addy, thanks for the offer - but it's on 16s because I'm awkward :y.

Place with the kit is about 2 miles from here, I've set them by eye to as vertical as possible, everything is new and freely moving so will have a gentle pootle over. And they can do my MOT too!

Got the Zaf an MOT, for only the cost of 2 tyres (which I knew it wanted before it went in there).

Found a replacement for the appliance.

Found out what was wrong with my mums 2000 year old seat (okay its a 96) , thermostat . She stopped at a garage (well known robbing /poor work) and some numpty looked at it , took rad cap off so it dumped water everywhere and then said £600 to do the head gasket!! Topped the water up this morning and ran it till hot, top hose red hot and rad stone cold . Took thermostat out (in bits!) and its fine.Rang local parts place for a new one, its to old we cant find one. Quick look on the bay and its the same part from 95 to 2015 , £10 and its in the post.

Some of them are not even good enough to be scammers. Just totally out of their depth idiots.

I don't get significantly more without a burger van on the back, so can't grumble at that :y

That said, I don't drive at a constant 50mph either ;D

Threw Mrs TB's motor in for an MOT - always nerve jingling for a new* car, finding horrors that might have been lingering - and according to my app, looks like it passed with a pair of advisos on the OSR shock.

*New to her, obviously not new new ;D

Pretty good result if that's the case.

Clearly you're spoiling the good lady!

Jag done 63 miles per £10 on lpg on our recent trip to Scotland. It wasn’t a slow ride and I’m well happy with that.

Apparently, since using this new app (late last year), I'm averaging 33.9mpg from the Big Black Pussy, best over a tank is 40.4mpg

And non fuel servicing/running costs* of just over £140, including the cost of the MOT, 2 oil changes, filters, blah blah.  Not fitted any brakes in that period, strangely.

*Doesn't include insurance costs or things like screenwash, as they are shared amongst all cars.
