Some/most of my best cars cost far less than £661 years ago :o
I have thought long and hard about chopping in my auto derv astra. But why should I when it runs just fine, keeps passing MOT's, returns around 45mpg in town and looks great (I think). Around £2500 is the best I could hope for, what would I get with that?

.

Stick with it it Steve, you know it makes sense, I like the colour as well..👍

I like the colour.
I have 'got used' to it in the five years I've had it, the longest I've ever kept a car. I just know it's going to start up and get me where I'm going. Stupid, I know, but I 'trust' it.

That was exactly how I felt about the Battlebus.  Although I never liked it, it was dependable, always.

It was 'projectile vomit green' :)

Exactly the colour of the puke that can from the mouth of Linda Blair in The Exorcist. >:D

Fitted the expensive rear light cluster.

Chucked a large piece of plastic trim in the bath (I hadn't noticed something had spilt on it earlier, else I could have had the boot back together)

…….

Well follow my lead by not stopping for pedestrians when turning off a main road …….. otherwise you’ll get smacked up the arse and need another rear light cluster.  ;D

Trouble is with modern cars, hit a pedestrian and you blow the bonnet airbags.  And most insurance will write off any car where airbags have deployed.

So if I did hit a pedestrain who forgot basic Green Cross Code basics and feel they can hide behind stupid laws, I would reverse back to ensure they were dead, then nick their wallet.
