Fitted new dipped beam bulbs, which is a bit of a faff. Checked fluids and tyre pressures.
Got MOT in the next week or so. Hopefully it goes through easily enough (usually does) and I can ignore it until winter is over.

Had the stone chip on the Mondeos windscreen repaired today, but unfortunately it was too big and deep to get an invisible repair and as it's in the field of vision looks like I'll need a new windscreen before MOT time.  :-\

Moral of the story is, get your windscreen chips sorted pronto before the moisture seeps in. The windscreen fella said it would have been a better outcome if I hadn't left it a couple of months.  :-[

£75 usually.  :-X

I cracked the screen on my classic Vauxhall when trying to 'coax' the wiper arm off with a little gentle persuasion. :-\

£115 with my insurer Hastings, plus the £25 I've shelled out today on the repair.  :(

Still, I guess buying a heated windscreen with a rain sensor would cost £££££££!  :o  So not too bad all in all.  :-\

I think my glass excess this year is £140 on mine, and £100 on hers.  So looks like they take vehicle spec into consideration now....

Not sure mine would stretch to full coverage. Mercedes screen is well over £700, vaguely recall summat about £250 claim limit...

Suspect all large exec saloon screens are similar in price TBH, so suspect yours is a lot more.  Retail on mine is £1244.75, not including finishers.

Easy fix on the headlight washer that had stopped working, despite only being replaced a month or so ago.

It was from the land of the chow mein.  The genuine ones are from the land of the onion munching garlic brigade.

I replaced on a year of 2 ago, and the other this year.  So the froggie ones last between 11 and 13 years as a guess.  About as long as the useless, shit, crappy froggie plastic lasts on that stupid, shitty engine*.  So its a bit of an experiment to see how the chinks do :y

*I actually like the engine, stupid plastic shit aside.  And that's plastic shit that has to deal with post turbo pressure. Prone to splitting apparently. No shit, Sherlock!

Reset the traps under the bonnet of the mighty Signum.

They were empty with the bait gone. :-\

clicky ;)
put it in a mister/spray bottle (you could dilute in a carrier oil )  and spray the infested car
you can buy ready made repellent that contains mint oil but that would be weaker.& watered down.
mice and rats hate mint apparently  ;)
