L461 P460e.....for probably about 9 - 10 months (the diesel, which was excellent, had hit 24,000 miles so well over due a change!)

Free of charge?

Life can be a real bitch at times.... ;) :D

No, its a preferential lease scheme so paid for after tax (no BIK hit)

Given the replacement wing a good flatting and a couple of coats of primer filler., ready to base coat and clear coat the 'hidden' parts prior to fitting. Have to do it this way, and spray the main wing on the car, as I have no way of suspending it , to spray off car.
Mind you, got to get the old wing off first ;D

I recently bought a fold up clothes rail for hanging panels/ parts for spraying. I do it outside as its a faff sheeting everything up to avoid overspray on my other cars in the garage. It a single rail with four angled legs. It's ideal for single panels and parts. Just choose your day, hang them up and spray. When you've done, its simple enough for two to move it into the garage to harden. It's easy to store in its folded state.

The one I bought was a Sykiariol folding clothes rail off Amazon.
Available in 121 cm wide for £27.99 or 141 cm wide for £33.99. Stainless poles, heavy duty. Very pleased with it for that purpose.

Started clearing my garage at home out so I can fit the teardrop trailer/caravan in, the Omega wheels are going to the scrap yard tomorrow as nobody wanted them. Did a skip run this morning, my right foot/ankle leg is now hurting (weak achilleas) after all the steps to the skips. Cortina front clip cut in 1/2 so I can lift it into my car to take to my workshop, lower wishbone bolts seized in bushes of course. Have another skip run now on Sat with a car full.

Had a very close call in the car tonight. I came around a corner on a B road and a bloody great cow was in my lane wandering about. Had to brake hard, just glad that the Audi has decent headlights so I was able to spot it as soon as.
I phoned the Old Bill to let them know and to hopefully prevent a serious accident, while myself and an oncoming driver warned other drivers of the impending danger. I’m used to watching out for Deer, foxes and rabbits along this stretch of road but never seen a bloody great cow on it at night before.  ::)

Had similar with a Moose in Canada before - on a gravel road at about 70 MPH. Made me clench a bit.

Yeh, as if to say ‘What’s your problem’.  ;D

The policewoman call handler was sharp as a tack, she asked me if I thought that the cow had got out of a nearby field when I mentioned that there was a Dairy Farm within a quarter of a mile.
I said ‘No, I think it rode here on a moped and got lost and it’s looking for directions’.  ::)

Had new tyres fitted on Friday. Actually drives quite well now. And as everyone loves a tyre controversy, it got a set of Goodyear Vector 4 seasons so it should prove to be capable enough through the winter.

That is, apart from the front wheel vibration from poorly balanced tyres. They did spot a dislodged CV boot and offered to fix it for £428 ;D

His face was a picture when I said I'd slap a big zip tie on it when I got home... Which I duly did  >:D

Just got the right hand side of the interior to clean and have started gathering a pile of bits to fix it's ailments and add a few creature comforts.

Took it to work today and it performed perfectly in the great monsoon. And the added bonus of not attracting ULEZ fees... Which came as a pleasant surprise when I went to pay it ;D

Drove it to Southampton and back for a few days bobbing about on a boat, 360 ish miles round trip so did require a 20 min charge. Stopped at Winchester on the way down at a place with 40+ rapid chargers and a Starbucks, obviously no need to queue (I think roughly 10 were occupied) and by the time we'd had a pee and a coffee we were off again.  :y

Honestly the best car I've had for long journeys by a country mile, sadly I will have to start using something else a bit more frequently otherwise I will be on the hook for a big over-mileage bill at the end of my lease  :-\.

We stayed in a Welsh cottage for a couple of days last week (Fri-Sun).

We took the I-Pace to see how it would cope. Roughly 200 miles to get there we arrived with about 25% of the PP9 remaining.

The cottage had it's own electric charging point (7KW).This cost 30p per KW which I think reasonable. The Jaaaaag managed 2.95 miles per KW so not bad considering we used the M1, M69, M6, and M42, which f*ucks the range.
