Wanted door strip
« on: 21 December 2009, 15:58:14 »

Hi All, I need a door buffer strip for the rear O/S door of my '99 CDX Estate (non-colour matched). The front edge has popped out and now catches the front door rear edge, so chrome strip is bent also.

Thanks.

Not sure the prefacelift strips transfer, so may be dealer time  :'(

They are changable, just get to your local motor factors for some trim tape.

You need a putty knife or similar and carefully push top and bottom to cut the existing trim tape, then slide the strip off the clips. Use a hairdryer to heat and peel the remainder off the paintwork. Re-fitting is the reverse but leave the backing on the trim tape till it's clipped in then peel it off so it sticks :y

I've only got a passenger side rear strip left here.

I'm guessing Welung666 has done it, and has more patience than me!

I went down the dealer route, around £55 + VAT for front door.
