TD Filter 'lid' wanted
« on: 22 February 2010, 08:43:45 »

I am after for a Landrover with the U25TD, the plastic 'lid' and bit the pulls the oil filter out.

Whole unit shown here

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OIL-FILTER-HOUSING-Omega-2-5TD-U25TD-BMW-94-99_W0QQitemZ360178527726QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item53dc502dee

Anyone got one?

Cheers

Seth

Are you referring to the plastic dome-like filter top Jim? (Has a hexagonal nut moulded into it?).

Local stealers got me one for around 13 quid - ish. BUT, it was totally wrong on delivery, even with the correct part number!
BMW dealers can get it pretty quick, and for a competitive price too.

Sorry to state the obvious, but have you tried the breakers?
I know that tigers_gonads was breaking one.

Memory lapse here - you're dead right - again!
(Should've paid more attention to JB's post).

Definately an X25DT jobbie then.
Could also try Land Rover too.
