Hello all
« on: 24 January 2008, 22:38:19 »

Hi all
Just onto my second Omega now - a 2001 2.2 CDX - and have come across this great forum
All going Ok except (!) engine management light (spanner one) comes on periodically ( will go out on engine restart ) - had local garage do me quick favour and read the fault code - told me it was throttle position sensor plus lean mixture ( said 2 were linked) reset it but has come on again - does'nt seem to have adverse affect on car - Any ideas if this is simple fix ??? ::)

Howdoo and welcome to OOF.  As said, you will get a better response if you post up your query in the relevant section as not everyone looks in the newbies section regularly.....   :y

Welcome to the forum. :)

I had a similar problem with my 2001 2.2. MarksDTM read the codes at the Newent meet last year. He thought that it was probably a loose connection in one of the relays so he went and gave them a wiggle. These were located in the box near to the battery.

Worth a try, may be a free fix.  :y
