Hello all. Have been a lurking guest viewer of the forums for a while but thought I’d join up and get more involved. I see some members have 10,000+ posts worth of involvement - it’ll be a long time before I get anywhere near a tenth of that, methinks!
Previously had a 1998(R) 2.5 CD auto saloon that I bought in 2002. Truly splendid device, but it suddenly became very ill early this year and I had to have it put down. Replaced it a couple of weeks ago with a 2001(X) 2.5 CDX auto saloon. Really wanted a more recent 3.2 Elite or MV6 estate but an urgent end to choosing time plus the desire to avoid the retrospective Darling (scumloid) tax knocked that on the head. I won’t moan too much though; this one is a very clean and shiny silver with just 45,500 miles, all the MOTs, service stamps etc.
Clarkson may scoff at “Vauxhall” ownership, but he’s a git (albeit a funny one) and we all know how good these rear drive cruisers are for motoring enthusiasts with practical needs but without deep pockets. Hopefully, the Omega Owners Forum will help keep these fine cars on our roads for longer than they might otherwise have lasted. I look forward to playing my part in that.
