Hello.

IMO I would buy a 3.0 or 3.2 Elite. Be careful of the March 2001 deadline though. Anything newer than March 2001 will cost considerably more to tax soon.

Hi Ben,
Welcome.
I had a 98 2.5 v6 lovely car. if you are going for this age one problem mine had was leaking cam covers. you dont get any signs of oil on the ground it all goes down the plug sokets and you get a burnt oil smell when you turn the engine off. Pull a socket lead off any prospective omega your looking at if they are wet with oil avoid as most of the time the plastic cam covers have warped and a gasket alone wont fix and replacement cam covers are expensive.

Regards

sorry to disagree but,the cam covers rarely (if ever) warp.
replacing the gaskets properly does cure the leak.
proper maintenance prevents the leaks recurring.
Welcome to oof Ben. :)
