Hello omega people...
« on: 19 March 2009, 16:49:43 »

First of all I'd like to say hello to everyone.

I've just bought my first Omega... I thought I'd start small... with a 3.0 Elite!!! ;D

Always liked big cars but I've always been a Ford man... (Don't kill me please!!) Had a few Scorpios/Mondeos. But Ford don't make a big luxury barge anymore (not keen on the bugeye Scorpio) so I looked elsewhere. Someone offered me the 3.0 Elite on a P plate for £250 108k on the clock but with a rough running problem. I'm 90% sure its the coil pack/dispack whatever you call it. I decided to buy it on the basis that if I have to spend £500 on it £750 is good money for so much car!! I'm gonna post a few questions in the technical sections rather than fill up my hello post with this stuff...

Here's to a long and happy relationship!!

Welcome.  I had a 2.8i Ghia X Executive on an 'A' plate wayyyy back.  Had more room under the bonnet than the Omega but that's progress.
Enjoy the new ride.
