Hello from a future Omega Owner :)
« on: 15 July 2009, 00:12:51 »

First of all, hello guys. I've seen many nice guys on this forum and I found some useful informations as well, like the paperclip tests and everything :)

Now, let me tell you a bit about myself : I'm 20 years old and I'm from Romania (yes, I know that's a bit far from you guys, given the fact that most of you are from England, but we don't have an OOF in Romania). The car I'm going to buy (90%) is a nice, green, Opel Omega Saloon (i'll post some pictures :D), 2.0 16v 136 BHP from 94-95, with 216k Km on the clock (137k miles, if i'm not mistaken). The price for this car is somewhere around 1200 Euro (yes, given the prices I've seen in England, I'm sure you'll say it's a lot, but we're not that lucky with car prices)

However, it seems that the car has some problems with the engine, with the lambda probe (I guess that's the one) to be more specific. So, I have a small question for you guys : I've also seen the terms "Lambda front/rear sensors". What's the difference? And btw, if somebody has a lambda probe, sensor or whatever for sale, for a '94-'95 2.0 16v, and is willing to ship to Romania, please let me know :)

Also, when I'll go and check the car out, what should I look after?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards :)

Ola

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see members from other parts of the world.

You will get a better response if you post your questions on the "general help" section as more people look at that part.

I am sure you will be able to source second hand parts from England but payment might be an issue. Do you have Paypal for example?

Good luck

Thanks for the welcome, guys.

Yes, I have Paypal, I can pay directly with a credit card, but, from what I've seen, you guys mostly have 2.5, MV6 engines... don't bother yourselves with the small 2.0 16v engines :D

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll make a thread in "general help" right now.
