Hello from a snowy Manchester

I'd like to say hello to everybody and also take the opportunity to ask a question, if I may.
I will be buying an Omega early in the new year and wondered which model you would recommend. I fancy a facelift V6 CDX or Elite auto but which is the best engine to have? MPG is not a deciding factor as I do a very low annual mileage, but I like lots of toys. I have a budget of £2k. Thanks in advance for any wise words you can offer. :)

Plenty of toys in either of those.

Best engine depends on your needs...

3.2 are auto only...
2.5, 2.6, 3.0 can be had in either.


2.5/6 manual = good performance and economy
2.5/6 auto = pretty good performance, less econmy
3.0/2 = better performance, less economy

if you post some more exacting requirements in the help section, sure you will get a more comprehensive answer  :y

Welcome 2k will get you a nice 6 pot. I paid £1600 for my 52k fsh 2.2 cdx with leather, mint condition 4 nearly new tyres & fresh mot. Very pleased. insurance good on th 2.2 at £240 happy days ;D
