Hi from new Hampshire member
« on: 02 May 2010, 20:54:06 »

Hi all,

I had a look around this forum a bit before i joined, you all seem a great bunch of guys, and i enjoyed looking at all the photo's.  :)

My name is Paul and live on the south coast of Hampshire.
I have owned my Omega for 18 months and thought it was about time to join some owners clubs.
I have an '02 plated 2.6 Elite in blue, completley standard which is the way i like to keep my cars, even though i had fitted the 3.0 back box a few months ago, looks better with the twin pipes and has given it a deeper note, also my mechanic is trying to talk me into getting it lowered as i need new rear springs, so not sure which way to go with that one. Any thoughts?

Ok i have waffled enough. I will post some pics soon.

Hey up Paul. Welcome :y :y

Lowering is down to you mate, it has its advantages & disadvantages. I feel that most cars look better when lowered & handle better too, but if like me you frequent carboot sales alot & you're riding over a field, well nuff said ;)
Though i do have an Estate that i'm lowering at some point :)

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcomes  :)  :y

Thanks for the reply Pete, i have deceided not to go down the lowering route, i think it would spoil the look of the car and the kit would lower it by 40mm which (and forgive me for being too old  :-/) i think might look too boy racerish.
